![]() ![]() The Pro’s mini-LED display isn’t the first time using the technology myself. ![]() For many people with low vision, the brightness alone may very well be reason enough to pony up for the Pro if budget allows. It’s everything Apple boasts it is: big, bright, and beautiful. If there was one feature to point to as a reason for choosing the MacBook Pro, it would be the mini-LED display. I have no use for an SD card slot or an HDMI port. Since they influence the object’s overall form, it’s also worth noting the Pro’s port selection, save for MagSafe, has no bearing on my work. Since it doesn’t, the Pro’s allure is somewhat limited. Personally, I could manage the Pro’s physical traits if my work called for its performance gains. The truth is, it may not be suitable for you-workflows be damned-based on your physical strength and travel abilities, never mind whatever else is carried in your bag. In terms of accessibility, the 14-inch Pro is relatively thick and heavy. Likewise, the screen is big and bright (more on it below) so staying productive shouldn’t be an issue when you’re away from a tabletop. It epitomizes the concept of a mobile workstation if you’re someone who’s traveling between film locations or whatnot, the 14-inch Pro is your dream laptop. As an object, the computer is remarkably thin and light. The first thing that strikes you upon unboxing the 14-inch MacBook Pro is how compact the laptop is, relatively speaking. ![]()
